- Completed reconnaissance and infill 2D seismic programme over the entire Alakol block, recording a total of 1360 line kms of land Vibroseis, transitional dynamite, and marine air-gun data.
- Acquired, reprocessed & interpreted gravity / magnetic data generating “Basement Depth” map.
- Completed Landsat interpretation of the entire area.
- Completed geological mapping, sampling & laboratory analysis, for source rock geochemistry & reservoir parameters: focus on Jurassic coal source, charging Jurassic/Paleogene sandstones.

Saule Marabayeva - Chief Operating Officer
Miss Marabayeva graduated from the State Academy of Oil & Gas in Moscow, Russia and holds a M.Sc. in Mining Engineering (Faculty: Oil & Gas). Miss Marabayeva has acquired diversified experience from assignments in Kazakhstan, United States of America, Trinidad & Tobago, United Kingdom and The Netherlands, where she fulfilled various production operations and research activities (EOR) in a wide variety of well and reservoir engineering, research & development roles for Shell International Exploration and Production, BP, Amoco, Chevron, as well as state & independent companies in Kazakhstan.
Mark Ashurst - Chief Financial Officer
Mr Ashurst graduated from Sheffield University with a degree in law and is a qualified Barrister and Chartered Accountant. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Mr Ashurst has been employed as senior investment banker with a broad range of corporate finance and broking skills gained from over 20 years in the City of London. Institutions Mr Ashurst has worked for include BZW, Hoare Govett and, most recently Canaccord Adams. He has advised both UK and overseas listed companies and has significant expertise in IPO's, fund raisings and mergers and acquisitions. Mr Ashurst is a Non-Executive Director of African Minerals Ltd, the AIM listed mineral and diamond exploration company focused on Sierra Leone.
Antonio Mozetic - Exploration Director
Mr Mozetic graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a Doctorate in Geological Sciences. Mr Mozetic worked for Shell International Exploration and Production for 30 years in a wide variety of geological and exploration functional and management roles in Argentina, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, China, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, The Netherlands and Kazakhstan.
David Grannell - Non-Executive Director
Mr Grannell is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He has worked in the resource industry for the last 10 years representing publicly listed Oil and Gas Companies. More recently Mr Grannell was finance director of European Goldfields Limited a mining group company listed on AIM and TSE. He is also a Non-Executive of other AIM and ASX companies
Lord Truscott of St James's - Non-Executive Director
Lord Truscott is a Labour peer. He is a member of the House of Lords European Union Committee, Sub Committee C (Foreign Affairs, Defence and Development Policy) and a former departmental liaison peer to the Ministry of Defence. Between 2006 and 2007, Lord Truscott was Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Energy at the Department of Trade and Industry and the DTI Government Spokesperson in the House of Lords. He represented Hertfordshire in the European Parliament from 1994 to 1999, and was Labour's Foreign Affairs and Defence spokesperson, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and Vice-President of the Security Sub Committee.
A renowned expert on Russia and the former Soviet Union, Lord Truscott was a member of the European Parliament's delegation for relations with the Russian Federation from 1994-1999, and has written scores of articles and three books on modern Russia, including the internationally acclaimed biography of Vladimir Putin (Putin's Progess). Over recent years, he has advised businesses, international organisations and governments on Russia's strategic development.
